Does McAfee have any public repositories that DO NOT distribute the Engine update? Per http://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB51159 the autoupdate repository list indicates that NAIHttp does include the engine, does this mean the default NAIFtp present in the product using ftp.nai.com/CommonUpdater does not have the engine?
What will happen next week for stand alone VSE 8.7i computers that attempt to update automatically WITHOUT VSE 8.7i Patch 5 Hotfix 777352 installed? I anticipate a lot of problems with the 5600 push for unmanaged environments, I suggest that McAfee places a 5600 stand alone engine download for x86 and x64 BEFORE the automatic push, otherwise I hope your tech support staff is ready for a lot of calls next week. A version with the 5600 engine AND patch 5 hotfix 777352 would be very helpful as well.
I also realize the SDATs will be discontinued, but there is no mention of this in the daily readme.txt or indication at the download page at http://www.mcafee.com/apps/downloads/security-updates/security-updates.aspx . When disconinued, will the last SuperDAT with the 5400 engine rermain available for download, even though the DAT part will be obselete?

Actually when I reviewed the document today it was last updated 7-22-2013 which indicated that both the HTTP and FTP sites would contain the 5600 engine.
Just got the SNS notification of the new anti malware engine being released (below for reference)
This is my first engine update, would you recommend a big bang approach or treat it like a hotfix/patch and roll it out in batches testing along the way?

I upgraded an existing 4.6.6 EPO Server to 5.0 yesterday, which seemed to go quite well.
I left it 24 hours to 'settle' and communicate with as many clients as possible, however my dashboards are still not functioning correctly. In particular, the Product Deployment dashboard is now completely blank showing me no deployed versions in my estate.
Furthermore the 3x Realtime dashboards I had, all basically sit three at 0% doing nothing.
Any assistance greatly appreciated... I dont want to have to revert back to my 4.6.6 snapshot if I can help it.
Following https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB66616 to upgrade. To backup DB, following https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB59562
However, on backing up DB, i can not find CfgNaiMs.Exe in my install. What is the correct way to backup the DB?

Laszlo is correct - KB59562 is old, and should probably be retired from the knowledge base: I'll see if that can be done. KB52126 is definitely a better option.

I have downloaded and installed SQL Management Studio and when trying to connect to the DB, it says cannot find any DB. I tried windows auth and SQL auth. Unless it installs by default, i do not remember selecting and SQL instance or specifing a SQL server. Is it possible to install ePO without SQL?
