Business Development Manager | Construction Machinery - Gemteq executive - Brisbane QLD

My client is well known through out the construction industry, with over a century's experience supplying an outstanding product range into 200+ countries.

My client is looking to further develop the Construction machinery arsenal to its already well established product range, with 5 year action plans being implemented to increase the company's market share further here in Australia.

As a result a role for a Business Development Manager has arisen due to internal progression, with the main focus being to open doors and build relationships, developing new sales lines into the market place.

This role will have a heavy focus on sales, marketing, logistics and support functions throughout Australia and will be heavily responsible for accelerating the growth of the construction equipment range, reporting directly to the Country Manager.

You will be required to provide leadership, ensuring that the equipment sales are matched with the customers needs, aiding with internal development and motivation of staff, identifying market changes and implementing action plans ensuring that you capitalize on identified opportunities, create annual budgets and ensure the region achieves the budgets using trends within the market place and your extensive knowledge of dealership networking.

You must be able to work autonomously within the role using your initiative to build relationships with new dealers on a daily and weekly basis,

A successful candidate will have:
Knowledge of mining equipment distribution A technical understanding of Excavators, Wheeled loaders, backhoe's telehandlers, forklifts, mini diggers, articulated dump trucks and other mine capable machinery. 3-5 years selling Construction Equipment 3 years leadership experience Knowledge of finance schemes Strong financial acumen 2 years direct sales experience with dealerships To the successful candidate we offer an attractive base salary $80-90,000 + car + super and strong commission structure.
